Verse 93:1

وَالضُّحٰىۙ‏

[O Human being!] Consider the Daylight

Verse 93:2

وَالَّيۡلِ اِذَا سَجٰىۙ‏

And the night when it is still with its darkness prevailing. [There is light at the end of the tunnel. With hardship is ease, like there is Daybreak after the Night. 89:1, 92:1-2, 94:5-6]

Verse 93:3

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلٰىؕ‏

Your Lord has never forsaken you, nor did He ever forget you. [Qalaa = Forget things unattended in a cooking pan. God has always provided mankind with their mental and physical needs and He ensures that they do not trail behind in the process of Evolution]

Verse 93:4

وَلَـلۡاٰخِرَةُ خَيۡرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الۡاُوۡلٰىؕ‏

And certainly, the future is better for you than the present. [Aakhirah = Future = Life to come = Long term = Tomorrow = The time and state to follow = Outcome. 'Ula' = First = Close = Instant = Now = Immediate gains = Life of this world = Near]

Verse 93:5

وَلَسَوۡفَ يُعۡطِيۡكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضٰىؕ‏

Soon will your Lord grant you (the success) so that you will be well- pleased.

Verse 93:6

اَلَمۡ يَجِدۡكَ يَتِيۡمًا فَاٰوٰى‏

Did He not find you an orphan and gave you shelter? [Yateem = Orphan = Lonely state. Left out in the society. 6:95, 19:95]

Verse 93:7

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآ لًّا فَهَدٰى‏

And He found you fervently looking for guidance, and He showed you the way. [Dhall = Wandering = Looking for guidance = Lost = Drifting from the road]

Verse 93:8

وَوَجَدَكَ عَآٮِٕلًا فَاَغۡنٰىؕ‏

And He found you dependent, and made you independent. [Dependence of infancy to early youth]

Verse 93:9

فَاَمَّا الۡيَتِيۡمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡؕ‏

Therefore, never treat harshly any orphan, widow, the helpless and he who feels left out in the society

Verse 93:10

وَاَمَّا السَّآٮِٕلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡؕ‏

And never repulse him who seeks help.
